At the airport
Please follow these instructions when you land in the UAE.
When you have come through passport control, collected your luggage and cleared customs, there will be someone to meet you and take you to a hotel. You should obtain a UAE SIM card as soon as possible (there are desks at the airport), and explain when you purchase it that you are not in the UAE as a tourist, but are here to work. It is very difficult to complete any official business, such as opening a bank account, without a UAE mobile telephone number.
Hotels and transport
You will stay in this hotel for one night, the next day you will have your medical and begin the process of getting your working visa and residency. You will be told at reception what time the next day the PRO (Public Relations Officer) will be picking you up.
You will have a total of eight consecutive nights in a hotel. The hotel locations will depend on where you are going to be based. The hotels and dates are non-transferable. The ministry will only fund hotels that they have arranged. If you wish to stay in a hotel of your choosing you must fund this yourself. The hotels provided, however, are of good quality. The nights funded are those from your date of arrival only.
Transport will be arranged for you for the first week.
